Babo Moreno is the brainchild of Fabio de Oliveria, a respected drummer and percussionist, who having worked with the likes of Sault, Jacob Collier, Terry Callier, Alfa Mist, Jalen Ngonda and Airto Moreira, is now stepping forward with his own sound. Fabio is the proud bearer of a legacy of Brazilian music in London, particularly influenced by the artist's father, renowned percussionist Bosco de Oliveira (Terry Callier, Sade, Working Week, Dom Um Romao & Founder of the London School Of Samba).Babo Moreno, an independent artist, was featured in Giles Peterson's BBC 6 Music 'Looking ahead to 2025' show at the start of the year, having already been celebrated across UK radio including Jazz FM (Tony Minvielle, Robbie Vincent, Dom Sevini & Reuben Green's 'Song of The Week'), BBC Radio 2 (Jamie Cullum), 6 Music (Giles Peterson, Cerys Matthews), BBC Radio 3 (Soweto Kinch), BBC London (Robert Elms Live Session), NTS, Worldwide FM & Soho Radio.
